All About Mrs. Dowdle
Hello, my name is Mrs. Jennifer Dowdle, this year starts my sixth year here at Folsom Elementary and I couldn't be happier. I have received the honor of becoming a National Board Certified Librarian. I have spent the last 11 years in the library teaching students to love and cherish books as well as how to research and to do basic computer coding. Six of those years were at Elkins Primary and Middle School. Before that I taught for 10 years in both North Carolina and Arkansas. I taught grades 2nd-5th in that time.

I am married and have four cats, Bandit, Pepper, Aristotle, and Sinatra (the students have heard some of their stories). My husband works as a Professor at the U of A. When we are not teaching we love to travel both inside and outside the United States. We have been to almost every state and our families live in Tennessee and New York. Some of our travels have taken us to Norway, Spain, Portugal, China, Italy, and France. This summer we traveled to Australia, Amsterdam, and Iceland. I can't wait to share my travel stories with the students. We have plans to possibly travel to Denmark and Germany next summer. I also love to visit lighthouses, I have been to close to 200 and have climbed 15 so far.

One more thing about me...if you ask any student they can tell you my favorite animal is the giraffe!
