Jennifer Harp, an English teacher with an impressive 21-year teaching career, has been selected as one of the recipients of this year's Arvest "We Love Teachers" Initiative award. Harp, who has dedicated two decades of her teaching journey to the Farmington School District, has made a profound impact on her students, her school, and her community.

Harp's teaching portfolio spans a wide range of subjects, including English 10, ACT Prep, Advanced English 10, Dramatic Literature and more over the years. Beyond the classroom, she champions environmental responsibility by leading the recycling program at Farmington High School, motivating students to contribute positively to their community and environment. 

Her teaching journey is a compelling story of following one's true passion. Originally on the path to becoming an architect, Harp discovered her love for literature and decided to pursue a double major in Architecture and English with a minor in Education. Her dedication to her students is reflected in her continued pursuit of education and professional development, including additional certifications in Special Education and Journalism as well as attending the ARTeacher program at Crystal Bridges.

Harp,  an alumna of Farmington Schools, continually shows her commitment to student success and community betterment. Her recognition by the Arvest "We Love Teachers" Initiative acknowledges her outstanding contributions to education and her unwavering dedication to her students, making her a role model for educators and students alike.
