Mrs. Grizzle's English 10 students imitated Ralph Waldo Emerson's poem about success to create their own poems! The students then wrote their poems on the sidewalks around school to share uplifting and encouraging messages! #ESED
Special thanks to Chick-fil-A on MLK for pledging to give free chicken to each child in Farmington Schools over the next few weeks! Today, our admin team passed out free chicken cards to each student at the high school. #ESED
The school year isn't officially underway at Farmington High until we begin our book tasting activities in the library media center! Students in Mrs. Tidwell's English class spend time sampling books to find one that interested them for independent reading time in class. It is great to see students invested in reading! #ESED
Looking for a great way to get involved in 4-H? Washington County 4-H is hosting its annual Clover 101 Club Showcase on Monday, September 14, from 5:30–7:30 PM at Thompson Hall at the Washington County Fairgrounds!
This free event is open to the public and is a great opportunity to learn more about local 4-H clubs and programs available to students and families. #ESED

A busy day at Farmington High School! Students attended class meetings to learn about rules, expectations, spirit competitions, and more. They also completed the required bus evacuation drills with the help of our Transportation Department! #ESED
Farmington High School will run an advisory schedule tomorrow, August 14th, to allow time to class meetings. #ESED

Homecoming is September 25th and includes the following activities:
- Homecoming Parade at 3PM (tentatively)
- Homecoming Tailgate after parade
- Homecoming Ceremony at 6:30PM
- Game Kickoff at 7PM
- Homecoming Afterparty at 10pm
A couple of things to note:
1. There is no school on September 25
2. There will not be a Homecoming Dance Saturday night. That is being replaced by the Afterparty.

1. Be on the lookout for an email from PowerSchool with registration instructions
