What a great start to Washington County Teen Leadership! Farmington students meet monthly with WCTL, and today they observed and took part in the complex process of city planning. Thanks to the guests from NWA Urban Land Institute, students were able to take part in the process by being assigned into random groups and given a specific job that correlates to the actual setting of city planning. They then presented a pitch to real city council members to see how their urban layout would do in the real world. Students were able to communicate with each other and get out of their comfort zones to try something new! #ESED

Cross Country had a great day at the Elkins Invitational. Sr boys came in 1st place, Jr boys took 2nd, and Jr girls were also 1st. Congratulations to Trail Holloway for coming in 1st place overall for Sr boys, Avery Kahre 1st place in 4A/5A, Corbin Womack 1st place overall for Jr boys, and Aria Herrick was 1st place in 4A/5A for Jr girls!
What a way to kick off the year with our first pep rally! Juniors snagged the Spirit Belt after winning the Pizza Box Knockout, Coach Tice had the crowd fired up, and the Band, Cheer, and Dance teams crushed their performances. A special thanks to Simple Simon’s for donating the pizza boxes for our game and giving a FREE Beast pizza to the winning team! What an awesome community we have in Farmington! #ESED
