Congratulations to our talented Farmington High School students who competed in the NWA Cybersecurity Capture the Flag Competition yesterday! Out of over 35 teams and 150+ students, our two FHS teams absolutely crushed it, taking home 2nd and 5th place! A huge congratulations to our competitors: Bradley Bouwman, Caleb Cox, Danny Dang, Russel Flory, Nathan Glover, and Finn Speller!

Imagine a high-stakes scavenger hunt mixed with an escape room, but all focused on tech and cybersecurity. That was the scene at the NWA Educational Coop as our students dove head-first into hands-on challenges!

We are so proud of your hard work and enthusiasm! Way to represent Farmington!

Mrs. Earnheart’s AP Psychology classes recently welcomed a special guest and Farmington alum, Madison Navarro, RALAT, from the University of Arkansas Division of Research & Innovation. Madison shared real-world insight into the ethical care of animals in research and how researchers responsibly work with animal subjects.

As part of this unit, students will learn to handle and care for three rats while studying classic psychological research, including Edward Tolman’s experiments with rats and mazes. Students will also design and build their own Tolman-style mazes to test learning theories firsthand.

Thank you to Arvest Bank and their We Love Teachers grant for supporting this meaningful, hands-on learning experience!
