
Washington County Teen Leadership (WCTL) had a successful orientation yesterday! Students participated in a challenging Urban Land Development simulation sponsored by the Urban Land Institute in Washington DC. Students also worked on building trust and learned the importance of clear communication as they led each other through a "minefield" of mouse traps. On Tuesday, Officer Howerton spoke to Family and Consumer Science classes about the impact of their choices, consequences of drug use, and driving under the influence. Students were also put through field sobriety tests while wearing disorientating goggles.#cardstudentsareworthit

In the Sweepstakes, students must compete in the following events: pig competition, livestock competition, and overall showmanship.
Lizzie Mabry placed 4th overall, Shelby Earnheart placed 8th in livestock and 8th overall, and Brihnlee Hunt placed 10th overall.
